Hi, I’m Maritza Louis, a member of the Syilx/ Secwépemc Nations in the Okanagan/ Shuswap regions of BC, Canada, and I am a Visual Development Modeler with over 19 years of experience in Feature Animation, Game, VFX and Cinematics. With a focus on character creation and visual development. My affinity for the visual medium of form has driven me in pursuit of new challenges and methods of technical expression that the CG’s diverse industry can offer. To push the limits of the polygon with such productions as Moana 2, GTA V, Spiderman: Into the Spider-Verse, Sausage Party, Spiderman: Homecoming, Ghostbusters, DC League Of Super-Pets, Hill Agency: PURITYdecay, Kizazi Moto: Generation Fire, and many others.

As the author of my own narrative and I push for my own continued learning and for more indigenous representation in animation. I supports fellow BIPOC artists in animation through her volunteer work as a mentor for Rise Up Animation, a member of Women In Animation, advisory Board Member of Fond du Lac Tribal & Community College, Program Advisory Committee member for the Centre for Digital Media and various Indigenous STEAM advocacy initiatives.
